About
A ledger for the good you actually do
RippleEffect is a personal environmental impact tracker. Instead of another endless checklist, it gives you one honest number. You log the everyday choices that tread a little lighter — a cold wash, a meat-free meal, a walk instead of a drive, a repaired jacket, a compost bin that finally stopped smelling — and each effort is weighted by its real-world impact, then turned into points and kilograms of CO₂e avoided. Your score grows only from things you actually did.
It is built for ordinary people rather than experts: students, families, teachers, scout groups, neighbours and coworkers who want their effort to add up to something they can point at. You do not need a science degree or a spreadsheet. Start with a two-minute lifestyle baseline, and from there a handful of taps a day keeps the record current.
Impact is easier to keep when it is shared, so RippleEffect also gives you groups — a class, an office, a street — working toward one collective goal, plus titles, streaks and friendly standings that make showing up feel worth it.
RippleEffect is built and maintained by a small independent team of designers and engineers who wanted a climate tool that was honest about its maths and pleasant to open. Every effort is weighted from published emissions estimates, the method is written down in plain language, and your ledger stays private unless you choose to share it. Nothing here is audited by a third party: the score is a record of your own honesty, which is exactly why it is worth keeping.
